For two days in January, audiences heard presentations about Urban Living in the 21st Century, hosted by The Trinity Trust and the City of Dallas.January 19, Larry Beasley discussed the future of urban areas and how to maintain a sustainable city at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Beasley is the former director of the Vancouver Planning Department and current special advisor to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s top urban planners, and helped establish Vancouver as one of the most livable cities in the world. January 20, Beasley was joined by Christopher Leinberger to give a joint presentation as part of the ALON USA Trinity Speaker Series. Leinberger is a developer, professor, consultant, and author whose work focuses on making progressive development profitable. The Trinity Speaker Series concluded with a reception on January 21 at The Beat condos for Beasley, Maurice Cox, and James Rojas. The event was hosted by Matthews Southwest and INCAP Fund.
