MARCH 2-4 2012
In June 2010, the final keystone piece of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, weighing 130 tons, was painstakingly raised, positioned, and locked into place, completing the 400-foot arch. Throughout 2010, highly-skilled welders have constructed the steel span. Beginning in early 2011, 58 cables were attached to the center of the deck radiating out from the arch to be anchored onto the 1,250-foot span.
In March 2-4 2012, Dallas will celebrate the opening of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, which will connect Singleton Boulevard in West Dallas across the Trinity River to Woodall Rodgers in downtown Dallas.
